I used to be haircut-phobic. I thought that the ones who did it were scissor-happy and would overcut. But then my hair became a frightful mess. I went to a hair salon, begrudgingly. The woman who did my hair loved it. Hair cutting is her passion. She wished that she had a camera with her, so she could take before and after pictures. She transformed my mess into something that works. I can't say that I hate getting my hair cut, like I used to.

I usually enjoy it, yes. After I get married in October, I think I'm going to try something new with my hair. I just want to find a good stylist, and let them decide what to do with it. I think it'll be fun.

I have been cutting my own hair for many years now, when it needs it. I wear most of it long, except for bangs, which I trim when they get into my eyes.

Being a hairdresser, I have found some of your answers very interesting, some of the problems we have to face have been highlighted here. One of our main problems is peole wanting styles that just will not go on their hair,usually to do with hairgrowth directions,or texture,headshapes,insufficient hair,poor client description(take a photo if you have one),the list goes on. So please dont always blame your hairdresser if you cant have the style you want....reach a compromise. Visit a hairdresser near you....today...its not painful,or shouldn't be anyway.
