  • i say no to trick or treating while drivin.i had to sneak out to go trick or treating with my freindds
  • It depends where you live and how old the kids are. I drive mine around now because we can't trick-or-treat in my neighborhood. I take them to a nearby sub-division and we park, work our way around the block, then move the car to another block.
  • If you live in an area where neighborhoods are REALLY spread out (and I mean you have only a few houses) I wouldn't say it's wrong to drop off kids in a more populated area. Other than that, I totally agree. It's not really fair.
  • No driving! That is SO dangerous. You need to be keeping an eye on your children at ALL times, and that leaves NO time for you to keep your eye on kids in dark costumes darting across the street. There should be a law against it, IMO. If you take your kids to a heavily populated area, park in a nearby lot and WALK with them. If you are unable to walk, have a capable person you trust take them, or arrange for a motorized scooter.
  • I don't think it is wrong to drive them around, I live pretty far out and to be honest I do not get many walking one parent or older child always with the little ones. The main thing is safety. With so many kids being abducted these days you should just about do everything to keep your eyes on them. It isn't like when I was a child and a group of us could run from door to door.
  • i agree the walks part of the fun i wont even drive my kids to school (when i have them)
  • I never saw anyone being driven when I was a child. I think parents are encouraging their children to be lazy by driving them everywhere, especially in densely populated areas. They should be walking together if they are worried about their child's safety.
  • one year the parents had to drive their kids because it was -15 out but some people these days just take all the fun out of halloween
  • I think so too, with all the candy they're going to be eating they will need the exercise. Kids are getting fatter by the minute these days. And if parents are worried about their kids being abducted, they should walk with their kids.
  • My mom and I always drove my son around so we could take him to the houses that we knew were safe. Now he takes his own kids and walks with them, especially since one of his daughter's was born on Halloween. It's like a birthday party for her.
