Is there a way to flag non-questions? Do we flag them as nonsense, or just jump to the distribution of negative points? Maybe I'm just being mean...

I would flag as nonsense, I only give (-) points if its insulting or very bad.

I do whatever I can. People should be diligent about flagging and negging bad or nonsensical questions. Otherwise, this site will be filled with them. This site could very easily become illiterate.

You can flag it AND neg it. Twice the fun!

Negative points for them means nothing and does nothing to change the situation. All it does is lower your own percentage points. If you want to change something, or even if you want to punish them in some way, it's more effective to flag it as nonsense and get it removed.

Seems a bit like being an ass to flag congrats questions or things of that nature. why not just leave them alone unless their actually nonsense?

sure, and while we are at it, let mark down for poor grammar, sentence structure and spelling. Flag them if we don't like their avatar. most of us are adult here, use common sense and decency.
