No. There are very strict rules concerning exocisms. They must be done by a priest, but not just any priest. The priest must be first appointed by the Bishop; exorcisms are very serious business.

yes, well so to speak, but generally you have to know how to banish beings, and generally, that takes alot of meditation, and patience. Also the right herbs, and materials.

Not to my knowledge. Catholics have been casting out demons ever since Jesus and the Apostles did it. Modern psychology says that most of the people who had demons cast out of them were probably miraculously cured from schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. But their cures were still miracles. The Catholic Church believes that real demonic possessions are rare but possible, so they keep a few exorcists around just in case. The Church has guidelines in place to take great care to exhaust psychological options before calling in an exorcist. Here is the Rite of Exorcism: http://www.catholic.org/prayers/prayer.php?p=683 For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 1673: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt2sect2chpt4.shtml#1673 Anglicanism, several Protestant denominations, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons), Judaism, Hinduism, Scientology, and Islam also practice some kind of exorcism. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exorcism With love in Christ.

Exorcism is best left to people who are trained to do this like priests.Unfortunately an exorcism can take a very long time to get because it has to be authorized by the vatican. As if this wasn't long enough, before you get approved for getting exorcism you have to go see a therapist to make sure there is nothing wrong with your mental state and also you will have to go a doctor to give you a clean bill of health before an exorcism can be done. The actual process of an exorcism can sometimes take many years before the demon can be released from you. There are other people who are trained to remove demons and attached spirits.Believe it or not, spirit attachment is very common. What sometimes happens is that a person feels sick and goes to see a doctor. The doctor will run all kinds of tests and find nothing wrong or nothing that explains the symptoms a person may be having. It turns out the symptoms the person is feeling wether extreme tiredness, depression, pain or whatever may be is being caused by a spirit attached to the person. The person feels the symptoms as if they were coming from themselves but in fact all the symptoms belong to the one attached.Attachment can happen for many reasons, sometimes the spirit gets stuck or magnetized into your magnetic energy field or aura and can't seem to separate itself from you. Sometimes the attachment is on purpose. If a spirit when it was a person liked to get drunk, or use drugs they will target a person that does these things so that it can experience those things it liked to do by using your body to re-experience the feeling of getting high or drunk. They can influence your thoughts so that you will give in to the usage of the drugs and alcohol, mostly for their benefit. If you feel you may have something influencing you, your thoughts wether a demon, or spirit you can still get help without going the traditional exorcism route. There are people who are trained to do what is called a Depossession. The practice is also known as spirit release therapy. They can do their work with similar end results to an exorcism, probably a lot quicker than the process of exorcism, and the price for this being done seems very reasonable.People that I know have had this done report feeling like a brand new person. It is also important not to do things which may have caused attachment in the first place like going ghost hunting, dabbling in occult things without proper knowledge or without protection, drug, alcohol abuse, promiscuity. You will have to figure out what you may have done to open yourself up and allow it in.Sometimes, like i mentioned it can be just accidental.I know this is very long but I hope it does help someone out there.Best wishes!

No, a full-blown exorcism must be performed by a priest. Most dioceses have a designated exorcist. There are however, ways to diminish demonic influence. Prayer, frequent attendance of the Sacraments, and sacramentals (holy or blessed objects such as a crucifix, medal, holy water, relic of a saint, bible, etc.) all foster your relationship with God and simultaneously diminish demonic influence. All of us experience some demonic influence in the form of temptation. Possession and other more sensational forms of influence are usually quite rare, and should be dealt with by a priest who has the proper training.
