  • despite the rambling structure of this question, you make an interesting point here...i think size has only partially to do with it...the real issue, i think, is that dogs have personalities, or at least people assign dogs personalities, whereas ants dont or not perceived to anyway (size probably does play a factor here)...followup question: are you michael vick?
  • Repent! On a lighter note, you wouldn't want to have 1,000 ants haunting you for the rest of your life because of the tragic way they died, would you? In the middle of the night, you start to feel ants, crawling up your legs...except you can't swat them away!!! I think we are all responsible for a number of animal deaths in our lifetimes, even if some happen as we smash bugs on our windshields driving down the freeway. I hit a raccoon once on a windy country road, and while I don't feel guilty about it, as though I was going to Hell or something, I do feel empathy and have greater respect for animals of all kinds. I intend to be more careful as I drive in the future. Its body was still warm and soft, but broken and not breathing. You don't have to love animals, but I think God appreciates it when we do.
