I'm broke this year, but I have started refashioning some cheap t-shirts for my girl friends who think it's cool I make them clothes for Christmas. A lot of people are going to be getting paintings, prints, and crafts this year from me. :|

No, I'm dreading it. Buying presents for people who EXPECT to receive a gift and will then whine about it.

I'm almost done, except for last minute gifts for my children. Some of the items they want haven't come out yet, like video games.

I JUST started today and I'm so excited. I think this is the earliest I've ever started. I ordered 2 video games online, one for each of my boys.

No, but I have sent e-mails to my sisters and brothers asking what my nieces and nephews (their kids) would be interested in receiving. If I can get it, and I can afford it, I'll do it for them. Otherwise, it's gift certificate time....

My calendar doesn't say December 20th, so no I have not started.

Have not started yet, although I usually start in late August. Probably the week of Thanksgiving this year, when things slow down for me for a few days. I like to shop up until Christmas Eve, though!

I make all the presents and greeting cards I send, and I work on various holidays all year long. I try to make two or three greeting cards every week, and two or three presents every month.

I have finished. It's a record. I usually get so excited that I give the gift early and have to buy another. I've been very good this year.

I finished last week and everything will be sent off this weekend. I always used to laugh at my grandmother, who used to hear little things that people wanted or needed during the year, and buy them and set them aside. I started doing that this year - in April no less! - and I guess I will continue, since it had great results! Of course, there is always the last-minute stocking stuff, but all the main gifts are bought, paid for, wrapped and packaged. Woo hoo!

Yes, but only for some small basic stoking fillers for the kids. They were on 10% sale for a week so we got 10 for the price of one! Well worth it, although it is hard to keep them hidden before xmas!

I have my brother's family gift. Just have to buy for my sister and her family. And for my husband's nieces and nephews. And for my husband and children. THe adults on my husband's side don't give presents any more and my parents are both dead. I'll make gingerbread houses for my friends.

yep i sure have, Santa doesnt get time off, I start shopping as early as possible to ensure everyone gets good gifts from me.

I start when everyone else is buying which is kind of bad as it's busy but there are some good things at shops like bhs.

No but will soon. I am however shocked by how EARLY the stores have set up the christmas displays and the christmas stuff!! they started 3 weeks ago!!! So ODD to see halloween stuff, Thanksgiving stuff and christmas stuff all in one section of the stores!!

I am due to be off sick for 6 weeks from November, so I will use the time to do my shopping on line, and have it al deliveredto my parents' house, so i do not have to carry it - then when i get there, i can wrap it all and give the presents to people

I always start Christmas shopping the week after Thanksgiving. I'm sick and tired of people trying to comercialize Christmas beyond all reason and not let people enjoy Thanksgiving and Halloween 1st! I want to experience and enjoy the spirit of Halloween and Thanksgiving before thinking about Christmas. What ever happened to enjoying life?!

Yup! I got started today. It's going to be done on the cheap this year - but I picked up three gifts for my 2 year old. We're thiniking about getting one more little one & then something special from Santa.
