Every time I push the power button on my 35" JVC television model AV-35750, the power light comes on for just a split second and then goes out. This happens whether I use the remote or not. What could be the problem?

  I have a 36" JVC and when you turn it on it clicks from on to off very quickly and will continue to do this on its own until you unplug it.... any comments
