It just verified to me how great America really is. Even with all the flaws and problems. There aren't many other countries where a idealogical enemy would be allowed to address it's citizen.

When I read this question I thought it was about his speech to the UN in Geneva in April 2009. The Iranian President clearly still enjoys confrontation. But that doesn't mean all he says is unfounded slander. Ahmadinejad condemned the establishment of the state of Israel after World War II, and called its government a “most cruel and repressive racist regime.” These are words that many might say are designed to anger, but surely the best response is to get down to details and try to understand how such impressions come about. He went on to criticize the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, accusing the U.S. of plundering energy resources and working in the interests of weapons manufacturers. O.K. - There might indeed be some policy issues to discuss here. As for vested arms lobby interests - Tell us more. Why not open this one up for debate? At the end of the speech, the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay said the best riposte would have been “to reply and correct, not to withdraw and boycott.” http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=46904

Amadinejad is the only leader in the Muslim world that has the balls to stand up to Israel and the US and denounce the crimes of both. Good for him for standing up for the oppresed and showing the bully for what it is and shame on the rest of the Muslim countries for being such cowardly sheep
