While the state of today's society calls for being a bit more cautious, there's something to be said for a guy who is willing to risk all and approach a woman he's interested. I would be more willing to at the very least talk to him on the phone to get to know him better.

Is the guy cute? If so, get his email address or such and go for it, but yeah, be safe about it. Even cute guys can be crazy.

No, not weird. I ended up with a boyfriend that way. We were watching the same band and he came up after and we started talking about the band and he asked if I wanted to go get coffee, and I said yes.

Unfortunately I think it's weird. I don't like being uninvitedly approached like that, unless there's a good chance you feel the same way.

I'm no girl, but if you think about it, how else are you gonna meet a girl who's worth a damn? Most of the bar crowd is a bit boring, and young... Or older, and a little creepy. Only other options are online dating, which kinda has "desperate" built right into it, or meeting a girl through your circle of friends... I think that it's more about how you go about it, than the simple act of approaching the girl that determines whether it's creepy or not...

When the guy is forty-something and he is flirting with me (sixteen) in a grocery store aisle, its pretty freaky. Happened to me a couple of times now.
