They probably haven't figured out that you can push the Caps Lock key more than once.

Writing in uppercase only is considered "shouting" by most devotees of good netiquette.
-
It hurts my eyes, is hard to read, and can be interpreted as shouting. It also makes you look unintelligent (unless used as an emphasis). Even all lower case is easier on the eyes (though I still wouldn't recommend it).
-
I think perhaps it gives some people the impression that the person typing the question is angry, and that they're 'shouting.'

1) It is not just Answerbag: "Netiquette, a portmanteau of "network etiquette", is the convention on electronic forums (Usenet, mailing lists, live chat, and Internet forums) to facilitate efficient interaction. These rules were described in IETF RFC 1855. However, like many Internet phenomena, the concept and its application remain in a state of flux, and vary from community to community. The points most strongly emphasized about USENET netiquette often include avoiding cross-posting, using simple electronic signatures, and other techniques used to minimize the effort required to read a post. When you type in all uppercase, it's hard to read and all uppercase is perceived as yelling on the internet and in emails.
-
It makes their question look more important, and it stands out easier, so they think they will get more responses. It's the same thing as making the name of an eBay listing bold to get more views.
-
To me it is no big deal, there are far more important things that I have to worry about
-
I haven't really seen any upper case questions. You better lay of the drugs....
-
because this place is full of sticklers for the nonsense net rules which includes it being rude to type in uppercase because it means youre yelling...but this is at least five kinds of retarded because its only yelling if you imagine it that way when you read it...keep on upper casin it. i got your back
