  • I've been in both situations. I was far more bothered by being underweight because I'm under 5 foot tall, so it was a very unhealthy situation.
  • Yes, overweight I think. And it highly bothers me because I can just feel and tell the difference. Makes me highly self concious
  • I've been both. They both equally bothered me, but in different ways.
  • I'm generally that much underweight. Not bothered. I don't look it so it doesn't matter.
  • The extra pounds....clothes don't fit right, my face looks like I have chipmunk cheeks, and because I am short it looks like 20 pounds instead of 10.
  • I'm just a tad overweight now... bugs the heck out of me. I'm afraid of turning into all the other women in my family... but dang! it's hard to fight.
  • I've been underweight. Nothing bothered me about it. It bothered others, especially my mom. Right now, I'd like to get back there. But, for health sake, I will stick with what I am.
  • I was always underweight because I was extremely active and my metabolism was insane. I couldn't gain weight no matter how hard I tried. Then a couple years ago I injured myself when I fell off a boat. I spent 2 months doing nothing but eating and sleeping. My metabolism changed and I went from 106lbs to 156 in a year. I topped out at 165 last year. With my frame and lifestyle, I was very uncomfortable. Now I'm down to 140 and still feel like I need to lose another 10 pounds... just to lose the last of the love handles. Then I'll be satisfied.
  • I'd rather be over. Hiding 10 extra pounds with looser fitting clothing is easy to do. But hiding 10 pounds underweight is almost impossible. Both tight and loose fitting clothes look awful.
  • Hi, Julie..I have never been underweight, slightly or otherwise, in my life so I don't even know what that would feel like. I'm about 5' 6" (used to be 5' 7" in my younger days) and when I was younger I did struggle with my weight..the most I ever weighed was 158. Now I weigh about 125-126..I finally figured out what was putting all the weight on and bloating me..refined carbs..I learned what they do to the metabolism and that sugar makes you hungry and all carbohydrates (especially the refined ones) turn to sugar in your body..also that many fat-free things replace fat with sugar, which then in turn transforms into fat..which is why so many people are obese..they consume enormous amounts of fat-free carbs (bagels, for instance) thinking they are doing good for their bodies when in fact they are not! Happy Saturday! :)
  • I've never been underweight. I've been the correct weight for my height, 6'3" 186 lbs., and I've been too overweight, as much as 270 lbs. I'm struggling to get my weight down to 200 lbs. again. Bothers me to be more than 25 lbs overweight, 10 lbs. is nothing to me.
  • Overweight because it's uncomfortable. If you become slightly underweight you can always cinch in a belt. It's been awhile since I've been slightly underweight.. probably since college!
  • I've always been slightly to obviously overweight. Except for a year in high school where I starved myself, and finally hit a normal weight. But I gained again as soon as people realized what I was doing and I had to stop. The weight always bothers me.
