not really .when i am on my bike its me the bike and the road.

HD riders seem to be concentrating so much on keeping their equilibrium on those accesorry-laden bikes that I don't blame them for not waving....: )
-
You're weird dude
-
i wave to all, harleys or not, some of my friends ride harleys, but they always fight for some seat time on the ninja. its the old school "bad ass" riders that are to "hard" to wave
-
Yeah. Wave at everybody if I see them.
-
I wave to all unless it is "oodles of random bikes day" and I would be waving every 5 seconds. I am not riding now (I am in between bikes) but I rode an '86 Suzuki Intruder, which is patterned after Harleys. I also wore leathers (they are carefully stored in my closet), had highway pegs and other niceties, and rode with a mixed Harley and non-crotch rocket rice riders crowd. The Harley crowd always waved back but it might be because of the above. People say that Harley riders are not nice... I have not found that they are unpleasant. I am planning on getting a Suzuki Boulevard. :D

Now you know what a "wannabe" is, don't feel bad if they don't wave back at least you are having fun. RIDE ON!!!!
-
if it's safe, I always wave no matter what brand

My husband and I wave to everyone on two wheels, even people on bicycles:-) I've noticed that many HD riders don't wave to people on touring bikes or sport bikes, not all, but many, more so here in the east. Most everyone waves in CA, each type having their own wave, down wave from cruisers, hand up from sport bikes. There's a great painting that has two riders, each on a different style bike, each showing those waves. I love it!
-
Well, there's two sides to every story (of course). In the defense of the Harley riders, some people that ride crotch rockets don't like to wave at people on cruisers, touring bikes, etc. either. I belive some people that don't wave now (on any style bike) encountered someone that didn't wave (on a different style bike) and then became a "non-waver". Oh well! Do what you feel in your heart. Don't let other people ruin your good up-bringing! :)

I don't like the hole wave deal in the first place. Do you wave at someone who drives the same car as you? I ride a BMW and most harley riders don't wave. When I ride with friends who are ignorant enough to own Harleys, Harley riders wave at them but they don't wave to me. I do get waves from most of them when I flash them the the LOSER sign though, which I find amusing as all h@ll. :)

I use to think the harley riders were snotty only getting a few waves till I rode a harley and I got no wave back from the sport bikes
-
Don't let it bother you or spoil your fun. Boaters also enjoy this commoradery. I ride and have found that most riders will return your greeting, if they are alone. So don't let peer pressure do to you, what it's done to them. Ride safe ........

Who cares about the make, model, or style of the bike, it's about the love of the machine, the open road, and being free of the cage.

I don't drive my motorcycle, I ride it. And yes most people wave, I have an older bike so most people on bikes respect its age I guess. Its a 79 Suzuki GS1000E
