  • I am a stay at home mom and there are a few things I do for some extra income. I babysit - I have 1 12 month old that comes to my house twice a week - $100/week I Dogwalk - I put up some flyers at my local pet stores and community centres and have a dog that I walk 4 times a week and another I walk once per week. They are both kid firendly, so It's great for everybody, I get exercize, children get to interact with the dogs and the dog gets to walk/run and play. $300/month That right there is $600-700 a month for (what I consider) very little work. I use consignment shops for the kids - This one doesn't really make me money so much as it does save me money. Kids grow out of clothes and toys so fast, I take them into a place that will buy them and they usually give you up to 10% more if instead of cash you take store credit... This cuts clothes and toys cost by more than half. I didn't plan on staying home after becoming a mother, I planned on returning to work at the end of my maternity leave, but then decided I wanted to bewith my children.. So we didn't have savings or budget for the lost income, which is also SUPER important.. Best of luck!
  • A friend of mine sells Arbonne; it's kind of like Avon, but I like it a lot more. She has had very good experiences with it, and plans to eventually make it her primary income. I actually know several women who supplement their husband's income with Arbonne sales -- perhaps it will work for you. Good luck with staying home with your baby!
