Sometimes, if I'm home alone, I'll look behind the curtain just to make sure there's noone there!

Kind of... I check behind the shower curtain out of a very old habit... When my cousins, brother, and i played hide-n-seek in the basement once, my cousin hid in the shower even though it was supposed to be off-limits. And well, we got bored of looking for him, and I had to go to the bathroom... So, as soon as I flipped the light switch, he jumped out and yelled BOO! I was so mad at him!

I am fine with the curtain but I don't like looking in the mirror just in case like in horror film - there is some behind you. I am also paranoid of walking past the letterbox. I am worried that someone will peer through it. (in the UK we have a slot with flaps either side on our front doors for the mail to go through - just in case not every country is the same)

Heh, whenever the curtain is closed and I'm in there brushing my teeth, I wonder if anyone is behind...ready to attack me. Also, when I'm brushing my teeth and I bend over the sink to rinse...when I look back up at the mirror I sometimes think someone will be there behind me with a knife or something.

erghh u remind me we have something red and squashed on the floor right next to the toilet. It looks like a dead squashed bug, errgh :( wats worse i have to go on the toilet with my legs spread in fear of stepping on this disgusting thing... :X

Well I could tell you something really stupid. ha ha..when I was younger lol. I used to have this odd irrational fear. My mom told my brother that stores had cameras hidden behind mirrors. I freaked out and everytime I saw a mirror I thought a camera was behind it watching me. Ha ha...it took a while for my mom to catch on to it. But eventually she explained it was only in stores. Ha ha..the mind of a child

NO, but when I was very little I saw the first version of Psycho at the movies. It freaked me out so badly that for years I could not go into the bathroom when no one was home without thinking of that movie and Janet Leigh getting stabbed to death by Anthony Perkins in that damned wig. I was only 10 and there were no movies like that back then. It was terrifying. Now it's a joke.

I often check behind the shower curtain, because once when I was a teen I was at a friends house that I was not supposed to be at, and the sister came home. I ran and hid in the bathtub with the curtain closed. She used the restroom without looking behind the shower curtain! And left. Odd how an experience like that will affect you the rest of your life.

Well, gee whiz!! I never was afraid of going in there, in the dark BEFORE I read this but, from now on, I'm going to start checking to see if someone might be hiding in the shower just behind the door!!! I'm scared now!!! VERY SCARED!
