Do you "pre-clean" the shared bar of soap in your shower, by lathering and rising it before it touches your body, or do you just start using it without a second thought?

I hold the soap under the shower water for a moment because I think it will lather better but I don't do that for cleaning purposes.

OMG!! I thought I was the only person in the entire world to be bizarre enough to do this.

I have my own soap and shower gel, I don't like sharing. However on the odd occasion I've had to share, I've ''washed'' the soap first.
I don't apply bars of soap directly to my skin, I put it on a flannel, but it's still yucky having soap someone else touched touch your flannel and then your body.

I just use it, I have far closer intimate contact with the person I share the shower with than sharing a bar of soap.

  • The only way I pre-clean a bar of SOAP is if someone used it and got dirt all over the bar... otherwise... its SOAP.

If I have to use a bar, I pre-clean. I love my husband, but he has body hair!!!

I try to stick to the liquid soap.

We use the liquid shower soap that comes in bottles equipped with dispensers so we never have to deal with that. The same thing holds true for the hand soap we use..it comes in dispensers as well. :)

At home, I just use it. If I am spending the night at someone else's house when visiting and am not given a new bar of soap to use, I wash the soap first.

What do you mean "shared" No one touches my soap..do they? EEKKK! No,seriously, we all have our own bar of soap. My son has a soap on a rope(smelly stuff).Husband has the bar of soap that lathers most(picky). And I have the gaots milk soap(smells so good). We also have all our own shampoos. It started as preferances and now it is gross to use someone elses stuff.
