  • Some guy coming up to my car window at a red light and pounding on the window yelling at me for something he thinks I did to him in traffic. As if it weren't scary enough for me, I had my 7 year old son in the car with me.
  • A Pepsi can was thrown at our vehicle. We couldn't get out of her way fast enough. (she had good aim too)
  • Well, I am half embarrassed to tell the tale. . . But it was a LONG time ago. This guy almost hit me. I went by him and made a simple gesture. He raced past me and skidded (yep, skidded) to a stop sideways, blocking my movement. I took one look at him and gulped. He was HUGE! I'm no small guy and have always been able to hold my own, but this guy freaked me out. My wife told me to lock my door. We both did. He started pounding on my window--I thought for sure it would break. I decided I could get past his car in my VW so I backed up, ran over his toes and took off. He was HOPPING mad then and proceeded to chase me all over SLC, until I pulled up to the Police Station. I didn't drive often after that without one eye watching for his pickup. As I got older, I also got achieved a level of calm that doesn't let me get into those situations.
  • I accidentally cut a woman off (she had been in my blind spot) and she whipped around me and stopped in the middle of the lane in front of me. The other cars were going around us in the other lane so I couldn't get around her. She walked up to my window, yelling at me and took a rubber baton and whacked my window with it. I was so stunned, it took me a minute to get my bearings. By the time I did, she had raced off. I called the police to report her with a description of the car and two of the three letters on her license plate, but they said without the whole license number they couldn't do anything.
  • One I witnessed, or rather saw the aftermath of from the wreck and all the traffic backed-up in the other direction: Two cars going the same direction on the two lanes eastbound of a divided highway. The 18-year-old young woman who caused the road rage, passed up the other car, then somehow pulled right in front of that other car, so that this car, that the driver had pulled in front of, flipped over completely in the middle of the road -- and caused at least one fatality. The girl that caused it drove off, apparently unharmed; afterwards, with the news story on TV and they were looking for her vehicle, she came forward and confessed. Traffic was backed up for a few miles behind the wreck -- and I had wondered how such a wreck had happened at that point on the highway, as it wasn't even anywhere near an exit on / off ramp. I don't remember what had caused the road rage, other than I think that the one car had been going too slow for the other driver, which somehow prevented that other driver from getting around, a few miles back.
  • I was stuck in a traffic jam where three lanes turns into one, and there was a guy on a motocycle who was driving along the edge. One pickup with two men saw him coming and didn't think it was fair that the motorcycle didn't feel he had to wait in traffic with the rest of us, so the driver tried punching through the window while the motorcycle was going by. The motorcycle stopped and they were yelling. Then both guys in the truck got out and tried to attack the motorcycle man, who started driving around other cars. The men got back in the truck and drove down the side of the road (on the grass) to catch up to the motorcycle. Other drivers started getting frusterated at both the vehicles for driving dangerously in traffic and blocked the truck and just let the motorcycle go.
  • I was actually the one with road rage but for a good reason. Some nasty ass perverted man was jerking his wanker while looking at my daughter. I didnt notice it at first cause he was diagonally behind me. I only noticed afte my daughter ask what is that man doing daddy. We were entering a construction zone were two lanes became one with only one stop light. Heis door was open and he was, well you know. I got out of my car and he closed his door and rolled up the window. that did stop little old me. I ended up breaking his window and pulling him out of the car. I had him pinned till the cops came. Of course they put me in handcuffs first. Come to find out this guy was a pedifile release months before on similar charges...people are sick...I was release at the scene...My daughter made a good witness....;)
