Why aren't we able to delete our own questions?

You have five minutes grace to edit or completely change a question. After that, it is written in stone unless it gets rejected for some reason. Deal with it. :-)

Basically, a question is to be set into stone after the 5 minute edit, because without it, the debate can be non-address to the question. Our questions can still get deleted, but only if someone flags it. However, if someone still has the URL link, the question can still be remained, but at least it is deleted from the database.
