A good work ethic, being responsible for your own successes (and failures). Without this particular set of values, I don't think my children would be able to appreciate what they (hopefully) are able to achieve.

i hope i have passed on to my children not so much a tradition (though it could be thougnt as one)i think it more a value. that would be to put spiritual things in first place instead of material ones. this world so much emphasizes on the material and not the spiritual that bring true fulfillment to ones life. i hope they have learned that putting their Magnificent Creator in first place will bring them true happiness. he has promised to look after our needs if we think to always please him first. (matthew 6:33)

even tho it is not a tradition in my family i'd like them to never look back on what they'd done and think was that the right thing to do.
