Does anyone have any experience of having acupuncture for treating menopausal symptoms?

Yes -- my g/f had acupuncture treatments -- the hot flashes went away -- problem is, she can't afford the treatments, and she doesn't have the time for it either -- six months later, the hot flashes are back, and she's looking to find a more convenient treatment plan. Another woman friend goes faithfully every week to the local acupuncture school for treatment by an intern, she doesn't get hot flashes, but she still gets mood swings.

Not for menopausal symptoms, but I was treated with acupuncture once for an acute, blinding headache that seemed to have originated with a turn of my head. My husband and I have were having a garage sale and my sister ended up taking me to a chiropractor who also was an acupuncturist. The relief was immediate and complete. I would not hesitate to visit an acupuncturist again for any similar maladies.
