My stance is pretty clear, I tolerate people and respect their freedoms, but I do not accept the lifestyle as anything good, moral, or decent. If you chose to engage in the lifestyle, that is your choice. I did like it better when people didn't feel like they had to be so public with their sexuality, not just gay folk, but everyone. The culture of open and vile things being pushed to be accepted by society is disgusting on many levels.

It's a sin, and personally I find the thought a bit repulsive if I think about it too hard. However, it's not any more a sin than any other sin... and not any worse in God's eyes. Furthermore, I tend to think that adultery is a more abhorrent sin than homosexuality, because it's also breaking vows you made, in addition to having sex in a sinful context. So homosexuals come above cheaters, in my book!

Why is your focus on Christians? There are many people of faith and non-faith that have opinions! Homosexuality to some is anti-nature and to others within nature. Because somebody has a particular viewpoint does not make them either a good or bad person, either homo-approving or homo-phobic. I can disagree with all sorts of things but not be a hater of the person. I hate theft but I do not hate thieves otherwise I would have to hate every person whoever took the smallest thing that did not belong to them! Therefore if the question is as many in the same vein are a way of entrapment that will make followers of Jesus Christ out to be evil monsters it will not do!

Created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same nature and the same origin. Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, all are called to participate in the same divine beatitude: all therefore enjoy an equal dignity. The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy. The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided." Here is the text of the document, On the Pastoral Care of Homosexual Persons (1986): http://www.newadvent.org/library/docs_df86ho.htm For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 2357-2359: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt3sect2chpt2art6.htm#2357 With love in Christ.

'Hate the sin, love the sinner - and be DAMNED careful before I pronounce this or any other situation involving human beings a 'sin' I always keep in mind that 'Cast ye not the first stone' is also in the same book...

My stance is I am a married, monogamous and faithful heterosexual. What other people do is up to them. I answer to God for my own actions.

The bible says it's wrong. but I will never treat anyone badly because they have chosen to be gay! wrath is a sin as well. gays are taking a huge risk. but i won't spend too much time being concerned with others choices such as that.
