  • Hibernate means that the computer will save your session, so when you turn it back on, everything will be the same as you left it. Sleep keeps your session in memory and puts the computer in a low power state so you can easily resume what you were doing. The only computers I know for sure that can do that are ones with Vista. There's probably others that can do it as well.
