For me it's better to never be late - I HATE being late. I drives me crazy how late and rude some people are. I'll get over it **takes a deep breath** ahhh!

In many cases it is better to never late. For example for a job interview. The interviewer is not interested in your lame excuse as to why you got to the interview 20 minutes late. All they care about is you wasted 20 minutes of their time and in their mind that makes you a bad candidate for the job even if you have the best qualifications out of everyone else who applied. There are cases where being late has saved a persons life. I read somewhere recently the story of Julie Stouffer who was on one of the old real wrold shows. She was in Boston and was due to fly back to California on one of the 2 planes that crashed into the WTC on 9/11 but she overslept and missed the flight. In her case being late saved her life.I always try to give myself extra time to get to wherever I am going on time. I feel it shows that you respect and value other peoples time when you make an effort to be somewhere on time.

It's better never to be late. To me the late person says "your time is not important to me; only my time and my agenda are important - you understand!" No, I don't.

They both make a good point. It's better to be late than never, because if we was never when we were late, some of us would always be never, but of courae it's always better to be never late. Does it make sense? Yes, no, maybe?
