G'day Sweetipi123, Thank you for your question. Dogs are better than cats as working animals generally. For examply, sheepdogs, guarddogs and seeing-eye dogs. They are also better animals as companions in some circumstances. Cats are better for people who live in units and for catching vermin. Regards

Cats seem to have it in their mindset that they are far more important than humans. Dogs, on the other hand know that humans are too crazy to live by their own. So they provide love and stuff. Cats, while fuzzy, do not provide much more than poop or mice.

Cats have been worshiped as gods, and they HAVEN'T forgotten this! No...I have both, and they're both great with their own respective personalities.

They're more fun (MO)and more lovable. Seems all the cats I've owned were ,"Do not touch me until I give permission" cats. But the dogs! They were the best. They wanted love all the time.

wat!!!!!! cats r not better than dogs yeh sure dogs can guard and fetch pathetic sticks but you fail 2 notice the fact that in eqqpt they worship cats and a cat is more likely 2 kill a dog. so the real question is why are dogs better than a god and that quetsion its self is wrong so therefore a cat is better than a dog so why are cats better than dogs !!!!!!!!! b cose they r great thats why !!!!! wohhhhooooo

I think they both have good qualities. Cats are independent and loving. Dogs are playful and a good friend.

Because dogs come when you call them (most dogs anyway), they sit when you command them, you don't NEED to clean up after them (inside dogs) unless they have an accident, you can pet them when YOU want to, and they comfort you when you are feeling bad. Cats only come when they feel like it (again most cats), they sit anywhere they like, they run away when YOU want to pet them, then when they come to get pet, they attack you after some time (again some cats), they come to you to comfort themselves, and YOU still HAVE to clean up after them no matter what (inside cats).

Are they? I prefer dogs, but I don't know that they are "better" than cats. People are different; that's why there are BOTH cats AND dogs!

Dogs are more fun. You can play with them, walk them take them places like the beach and the park. They can protect you. Some are big enough to save your life or can feel when something is wrong and try to warn you.

I have German Shepherds. I can forget that I left my keys in the front door and go to bed without worry. I can leave them alone and they don't spray on anything or rip up anything in a 'snit'. They play ball, swim, hike, and protect me. Cats .. well, I respect them completely but we're talkin' whiny, sensitive, narcissistic pet compared to rip your throat out if you hurt my owner, love you to death whatever you do, and will carry in your groceries for you if you'll only take them to the river.
