Forfeit the game, suspend the coach involved, and give the club a hefty fine.

From what I understand, they have been caught before. First of all, why doesn't the NFL have some kind of security on the sidelines to ensure this isn't going on at every game? I've heard all teams cheat and try to intercept signals, take photos from the coaches skyboxes, listen in on the wireless signals, etc.. As for the penalty, how about a $1 million fine and the loss of their first round draft pick (give it to the Jets).

I think they should go further than that, it is a gross abuse of trust and decency and should be punished accordingly

I think they should definitely forfeit the game and go back through other games where they say it's been KNOWN for awhile that they do this and cause them to forfeit those games as well. Strip them from any titles, remove rings, etc. if deemed they cheated. That's what they do in the Olympics and other sporting events if you're caught cheating.

To an extent I agree. It is inconceivable how many games have been compromised because of this lack of integrity. The people involved should definitely be banned from any affiliation with the NFL. The players however are unfortunately screwed anyway this goes. They should not be punished, of course, because it is highly unlikely they had any involvement. It's very unfair to them. Their victories all of a sudden have less meaning. How can you feel good about winning in the first place... if you're cheating? What a bunch of assholes!
