Sorry, I misunderstood the question.

I went for a very, very long swim. I live on an island and the water -- whom I actually call 'Mother' -- allowed me to float, swim to sweating (yes, you can sweat in the water if you are working hard enough), and just remember. I will never forget these people ... all those that passed! I will not forget the bigger lesson, if I may, indeed, be so bold: YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN A TRAGEDY WILL HAPPEN TO SOMEONE YOU LOVE! We must not only remember that it is a privilege to even be 'allowed' to love another human being, but equally a great gift to be loved in return. I learned all of this not just from 9/11, which of course was a horrid Zen-slap to do so, but I have lost two children, in two separate events. It is these losses, and oh so many others, that have given me the courage -- yes, courage -- to rise above most things human ... to strive for cooperation, empathy, and compassion for all human beings and other entities and things. For, in my view, what we have with everyone on this precious planet of ours is the commonality of the human experience, its dilemmas, its wins and losses, its challenges, its potentials! To this I only add, 'LIVE A LIFE WORTH LIVING!' Surely, we all can at least attempt to do so!

I taped all the specials on the history channel and will watch them when I get home tonight. Remembering all the horror is a bit much but I do reserve the anniversary day to redigest it and remember.

We had a short Where were you remembering session, and a few quiet moments. Bring in a group of federally employed building maintenance people (mostly vets) was a rather sober moment. at 40, I am th youngest of the group, but every one said their piece ,or silence.

I went to the Airport and watched the planes fly. It was a comforting affirmation to me that evil does not always prevail, and life can go on...and I said a prayer for those who still suffer from the consequences.
