You're reading I am getting married to a man I have lived with for 17 years. He is going to put my name on the title of the house, but if he passes after he adds my name, and I sell the house within 2 years, would I be able to get the capitol gains exemption?

Although I would wonder myself what life changing experience suddenly produced a marriage after 17 years. I'd be asking why the jerk didnt already have my name on the deed, marriage or not.
