I am getting married to a man I have lived with for 17 years. He is going to put my name on the title of the house, but if he passes after he adds my name, and I sell the house within 2 years, would I be able to get the capitol gains exemption?

You have lived with this man for 17 years and he wants to marry you? Did you send him to a hypnotist to make him want to marry you? Why buy the cow if you have been milking it for so long? I just don't understand.

You haven't even gotten your name on the deed and you are already planning your future husband's funeral. Let me ask you this, how many different life insurance policies have you taken out on him also?

I think it depends on if you had anything to do with him 'passing'. May I ask you a Q? Why do you sound so sure he is going to 'pass', maybe he will run?
