If the snails are alive when they do it - it is because they either have no emphaty or concept of the agony they inflict on what is, after all, a sentinent creature - or they are cruel.

They want to kill them without touching the slimy things. I believe that under the law, this would be armed a salt. It would be a salt and battery if electricity were involved.

To kill them. When you put salt on a snail, it dries it out and kills it...I know of people esp. in Cali that do this when the things invade their garden. I'm noticing that a lot of people have said it's cruel, but I don't think it any more cruel or inhumane than putting out rat poison or spraying insecticide to get rid of beetles. Then again, I'm not really a slug person.

That depends. Do you mean while eating them? If so, WHY EAT THEM AT ALL? If you mean to kill them? Because it works!

I can't imagine, I would have thought that garlic butter and a little lemon juice would be much nicer.
