  • Tell her that you would be there when she wanted to talk. Give her a hug. That is all I can advise.
  • Get information on a local Al-Anon group (support group for family members of alcoholics). Reassure her that you will be ready to listen whenever she needs to talk. Give her some ego boosting - some children of alcoholics believe it is their fault. Make sure she has safety resources, in case things get out of hand at home.
