What are your thoughts on actor/politician Republican Fred Thompson announcing his candidacy for President? Did you like him as an actor?

I just saw him on E! network for the first time today. I plead the Fifth as to whether I like him or not. He looks like he'd make another stuffed shirt, just what this country doesn't need.

I have always liked him as an actor. I think he would be as good or better then some of the others who are running!!!!!!!!!!

I love him as a actor, I've only seen him in a few movies like THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER, ETC. I also think I like a lot of his political views, but until I learn a HELL of a lot more about him my vote is still fairly up in the air. Even as unknown as he is to me I'd still vote for him over a large number of the candidates I've seen so far!!!!

Love him as an actor and Think he would make an Awsome President. If he eventually gets the Republican nomimation I intend on voting for him.

I actually like him. I'm glad he's throwing his hat into the ring. I'd like to know more about his platform.

Right now he has my vote but I am still open to change my mind. He seems to have very solid values and takes a traditionally American stance on most important issues but he has only scratched the surface on his agenda. I want to here more before I decide for certain.

Why or how do actors become politicians. Isn't this a bit like a administrative assistant suddenly becoming CEO? Or am I missing the point that politics is all about being able to lie convincingly so acting skills are paramount?

Oh boy, this guy's a piece o'work. Thank Allah that he's too daft to win...I think he's a so-so actor, didn't care for him too much on Law and Order, never saw any of the movies he was in cuz I usually only see foreign films, domestic films typically bore me, theyre terribly unimaginative. He's too conservative for me. The only thing that I like about him is that he wears a Cartier watch...hmmmmm...some man of the people he is...
