Titanium is often thought to be the strongest but it's not. It has a high strength to weight ratio. There are many metals much stronger than this. Two stainless steels that come to mind are 17-4PH and 15-5PH which can achieve Ftu of 180,000 to 200,000 psi through heat treatment.

HIGHLY PURE GRADE TITANIUM HAS CAN ACHIEVE FTU OF MORE THEN 200,000 PSI SO YOUR WRONG LOL

Ok....so Titanium has a 200,000 psi, and you just argued that stainless steels can come lower or match that? Really now? OK, so Titanium is obviously stronger, but why? Does it have to do with the nucleaus of the atom, the electron shielding possibly? I am just trying to figure out why, why the formation of Titanium can surpass just about anything.
