  • well, sure...but it was me fooling myself...not them fooling me.
  • Yep...haven't we all? It's just part of being human, I guess..don't know why people do this to one another..I think some of us just look at life as a game with winners and losers and they strike first so they can be a "winner", or so they think..actually, that is the mark of a loser! :)
  • I sure have and it was here on AB....but that's ok I have been through this before. No big deal. If that is the worst that will happen to me then I count my blessings:)
  • Yes.. and i think most of us at some time have to face the fact that some people are just not what they seem to be. Sometimes that's real sad but then good things always come along to balance it out - so it's all good :))
  • Yes, more than once. And yes, I was hurt but I'm better for the experience. No one at AB...
  • i was seeing someone who was the ultimate genuinely nice guy. we were hanging out everyday solid for a week and then the other 'kind' gentleman came home. he pursued me regardless of the news that i was somewhat taken. i threw caution the wind, left the genuinely nice boy and rode off into the sunset of love... with someone i seriously misjudged. he got what he wanted, promises left the building, along with him, and my heart. yes. i was hurt. do i still love him? undeniably. trust no one.
  • that's pretty much my ex in a nutshell, and yes he has hurt me a lot.
  • Yup. After knowing him for 5 years and dating him for 4, I thought I knew everything there was to know. Needless to say I was very dissapointed when he showed his true colors. It took me nearly two years to get over the pain.
  • Yes. Similar to comparison as your example with a bit more to it. And most definitely. Ah well. What's done is done.
  • Well, I thought this girl was really nice .... and then she ended up dating my ex not even two weeks after he broke up with me, even though she knew how I felt about the whole thing. She even had the nerve to invite me to spend time with them at the same time -- together!! What an insult. Anyway, she can actually be a pretty nice person, though. I'm pretty sure she hurt him more than she hurt me, though, which is very unfortunate.
  • Yes, I was very hurt when that someone whom I believed as trustworthy turned to be the reverse. I have learned to be wiser after this bad experience.
