  • Try taking melatonin. It's something that your body makes naturally, so it is totally harmless and non-sddictive. It regulates your sleep pattern and studies have shown increases life expectancy. You can buy it at health food stores, drug stores or the vitamin aisle of your grocery store.
  • LOTS you can do. Don't exercise at night (only morning/afternoon). Try a little aromatherapy (scents of lavender or sandalwood help you relax). Take the TV out of the bedroom, if you have one. Try to minimize light / noise in your bedroom (or, have a white noise machine - there are some inexpensive ones out there). Try an herbal tea (like chamomile) - naturally decaf. Do some light stretching before you go to bed and be sure to check your mattress and bed linend (clean sheets and a mattress that's not too soft or firm make for a good night's sleep). If you find you're in bed and can't fall asleep for hours, get up and do something until you are tired. Read - but not in bed.
  • Melatonin. Very safe and you'll fall asleep very fast.
