  • As a new CL I would have to say that I would not want the power to nuke people's accounts. It is good how it is. I am not even really keen on the powers I do have now! It is a bit scary so I am unsure and not keen to moderate until I understand it better. I think it is better how it is as community leaders are just people too, with our own issues. You never know if a CL may have a bone to pick with someone else. Having it this way makes the CL's accountable to the staff and as such all users as well. Too much power can corrupt people.
  • Well I don't think it would make much difference unless we didn't have to run the nuke past Rich. As it is we can pbox users for long periods of time, though we're not supposed to and don't. It might take some work off the staff is the only advantage I can think of, but for the amount of people we pbox and the amount of people who are bad enough to merit being nuked, I don't see this would be a terribly beneficial feature to implement.
  • I know I needed help last night , though I just kept following the troll and finally wore him out - So that could help us + 5
  • I think it might save Rich a bunch of time. I doubt any of the CLs would abuse the power. Thus, it really can't hurt. Much more, I'd like the power to correct typos on questions and to append question marks.
  • In some cases that would be nice (spammers only). In others it wouldn't be such a hot idea. I think having the AB-Staff review all of our activity and be the ones to nuke accounts is a good way to keep checks and balances in place.
