Apple is poised to release a touch-screen Video iPod and an updated iPod nano today. Anyone else think that other music-player manufacturers should just say "Game Over"?

No. The more competition there is, the better the products become.

absolutely not. i-pods are relatively expensive. i know you can get an MP3 player that holds a thousand songs for $50. that's pretty cheap compared to the i pod, and if you just want something to where you can listen to music when you work out then that is the way to go. it would take days to listen to all thousand songs anyway.
