Yes he is a hypocrit. Yes he is a dissappointment to everyone who voted for him. However, society must share some blame for creating an unnaccepting environment where politicians feel they cannot be openly gay and still succeed.

There is a little thing in America called innocent until proven guilty. Though the evidence seems to be heavily against him being innocent it is up to a court of law to prove that not the opinions of the American public. If in fact he is proven guilty of the charges in a court of law then yes he would be a hypocrite. I will hold off on judging him as such until the courts decide his guilt or innocence.

Even if he is guilty--which he hasn't been proven to be--he can't hold a candle to John Edwards in the hypocrisy department. I don't think anybody can.
