At any age, so long as they can consent and know the consequences if something goes awry.
However, there is some law that I think is rediclous, that makes it so that if one person is over 18, they can't be with their partner in bed(or where ever, really) until they too are above 18. Otherwise, it doesn't matter at all.

each state has it's own age of consent. Here in Ohio it's 16. In many states it is 17 or 18.

I think it's really a total waste of time on our government's part to tell us what age we're ready for sex. (Sooo not an answer to your question, but I needed to put my opinion in there)

The LEGAL age is 18 in the United States. Other countries are different varying from 12 to 16.
However in the fathers rule book to daughters the legal age is 32.

There is no legal age to have sex. Governments do not regulate this. They do, however, regulate who you can have sex with.
For example, if a 19 year old has sex with a 15 year old, this is illegal in most jurisdictions. However, it is only illegal for the 19 year old.
Note: theage are just an example. The exact age restrictions will vary by jurisdiction.

It depends on where you live. It's easy if you live in Britain - it's 16. If you live in the USA it varies from state to state from 14 to 18. Have a look at this link for the world-wide picture:

Interesting that the question has to be asked. First there is the biological age. Then there is the age at or above which different governments will not prosecute for statutory rape. Then there is the age parents or guardians might impose. Then there is the age of responsibility (which some never reach). The age of informed consent (also never reached by some). There is the appropriate age, the convenient age and the "too late" age. And I suppose we should include the "oops" age.
