Ever noticed how many people have dogs on their AB avatars? Why do you think that is?

They love their dogs, or the love dogs in general (if the dog in their avatar is not their own).

I think it's because our dogs are our beloved pets. They love us unconditionally and they can provide us with comfort. And while they are not human like our children, they still contribute to the family unit. And for people whose children have left the home, people who may never have children, or those who don't yet have children they provide valuable companionship. We love our pets. Dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets and etc.

I can only think of 3 people who do that and I think one of them stopped.

Maybe it's because they are animal people and really love their dogs, or dogs in general. :)

It must be because their cats won't allow them to use their photo. SO the dog is a good second choice:-) I think I've noticed more cats on avatars than dogs but I coud be wrong.

Because we love our dogs that is why we have pictures of dogs as our avators.

i love my dog and that's her in the picture. i want everyone else to love her too. =) plus, my cat won't sit still for picture taking.

Yes I have noticed. Because most people who own dogs are proud of them and love them more than most of their friends. I had my daughter's dog as an avatar a few months ago.

I haven't noticed many dogs but I like cats as mine. Thats my cat in the photo too! Like her eyes. She loves the camera. People love their dogs just like I like my 4 dogs!

People love their pets! For some of us, they are like our kids! I see lots of dog and cat avatars (we have several cats, and I use a lot of cat avatars). They just want to show them off!

Many of us here love dogs. I believe my questions about dogs have never been downrated. Neat, isn't it?

I can only speak for myself. I love my dog. It makes me very happy to see her face whenever I'm here. Everyone chooses avatars that suit him/her best, for whatever reason. I'm very happy with mine :)
