The answers to these questions are really insensitive to blind people. Seeing eye dogs help blind people gain the mobility, independence and freedom. Seeing eye dogs are not widely used by the blind population and only about 1% of blind people utilize dog guides.

I once read a magazine article about a blind dog having it's own seeing-eyed dog.

I have a blind dog and she knew the layout of our house pretty well anyway before so i think she mainly goes on hearing and smell but occasionally she does bump into things but when she is walked she also knows the route ok. but you just look out for her.

They walk in to walls a lot. My grandfather used to have a blind dog. It was kind of sad, but that was the meanest freakin dog I've ever seen. He was probably pissed from walking in to so many walls.

They are able to pretty much orientate themself depending on their scent ability...
