  • I think it depends on the dish. Adding alcohol to a hot skillet with evaporate off the alcohol. Some things with less intense heat - like rum balls - might still have alcohol in them.
  • If your cooking on the stove the alcohol burns off. If your baking it's still in there. At lease that is what they say on the cooking shows.

  • The heat from the cooking process should evaporate the alcohol and just leave a flaor behind.
  • If you cook it for a long time reaching a certain temperature or if you flame it, yes, MOST of the alcohol dissipates but there is the tiniest of traces of it remaining.
