  • Yes No
  • The great American spin machine doesn't want any negative viewpoints about he military expressed. I saw on a TV program about one guy who came home and tried to pay someone to shoot him in the leg so he wouldn't have to go back to Iraq. Unfortunately, I am a firm believer if you give your word on something like joining up with the military, that you have to take the good and the bad that comes with it. I would never enlist or go to any war and if I was "drafted", I would rather die than engage in any military conflict. A lot of these people involved in Iraq conflict are coming up with PTSD and it's not an easy ailment to prove especially if they want you in the military effort. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=13950862 listen to interesting broadcast above
  • Yes, I do feel that soldiers should be censored. 1) I am a civilian. As part of the terms of my employment, I am not allowed to speak to the media and give any opinion on behalf of or making mention of my employer. As the military is the soldier's employer, I expect that they are bound by a similar condition. 2) I think it would make us appear weak to have those who are fighting on our behalf publicly talking about their feeling against the war or being where they are.
  • They should be able to voice their opinions for,if the nation truly stands for free speech, then all should be included,or free speech is a lie.A great deal of them resent multiple deployments and the unfairness of it and should be able to let the public know.
  • They should be permitted to say what they wish! But they are all volunteers and many of them received enlistment bonuses to join! They knew what they were getting into when they signed on the line, yet they want it both ways! They want the money and benefits, yet they don't want to earn it on the other side of the equation!
