So, I think that I am the only one (so far, at least) that is offended not just by the question, but also by the answers. It's obvious from the way the question is framed that whomever asked it thinks that "gay" is derogatory. And those who have answered do also, I think. At the very least, they have no problem perpetuating a negative stereotype. It's sad, but telling, when prejudice rears its head in seemingly innocent places. I don't mean to be insulting, but this sort of question is based in ignorance, and not just of the answer. The only thing IN a man that would be considered gay would be another man! Come one people, 2006 here!

No. This is a stereotype put on men. Males have been wearing nose decorations almost for the entire history of our specie. The tribes in which noses are given great decoration is one example.

A bull ring or hoop in the nose is not considered homosexual. Honestly though people are very quick to make assumptions that have no real backing. If you want a nose ring and can make it look good, go for it.

Honestly, if you decide that you want to get something pierced, get something pierced. In the end, it is your decision not society's. Some people say that one ear means gay and the other doesn't. If you're unsure, then don't do it. In my personal opinion, I think that nose piercings with hoops are sexy, but that's just me! =D Some people like it, some people don't.

I'm unaware of any biological or psychological phenomonen in which piercing the nose results in a change of sexual orientation. I've also never heard of a sociological stereotype connecting nose piercings and homosexuality. Finally, who cares whether or not it is considered gay. What's wrong with gay?
