the pressure regulater in the throttle body may be leaking. may also be a weak fuel pump.

if it is vortec have found that what they call spider inside of intake is bad it is relatively easy to do just need to pull oof upper intake is pricy part though if exhaust smells of raw fuel that is also a tell tell sign

I have the same vehichle and was having the same problem. I replaced the cat con but it was still having the problem. A friend of mine suggested replacing the O2 sensor. Good thing our year of Tahoe only has one. One of the problems with the O2 sensor is that it will not always trigger the "check engine" light. Hope this helps you too.
