  • Rated down? Why? It's a valid question. I wonder why an all loving God would be so upset that someone says something bad about them, and toss them into some fire for it - I simply wonder that.
  • I think that blasphemy is something man made and not a rule of a deity or a god.Man also made up the concept of sin, which correlates to guilt. If this is what religion gives to the world,I want nothing of it.
  • It's not, really. Look at Jesus, he was a blasphemer of the worst kind in the eyes of the pharisees. I think it has more to do about a power construct than spiritual philosophy.
  • Blasphemy against the Spirit - Therefore, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven (Matthew 12:31) Is the sin of attributing to Satan - But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "This man drives out demons only by the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons." (Matthew 12:24) What is the work of the Spirit of God - But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Matthew 12:28) We really do not know why Jesus said this sin is unforgivable. http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/matthew/matthew12.htm With love in Christ.
  • Because blasphemy is to speak evil of God your Creator, and not just that, but also to speak against Almighty God who is holy, just, and righteous. I hope that this helps. :) -In the Master's service. Thank you and God bless you!
  • Matthew 12:31 puts it this way “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.” Perhaps Jesus would have included belief in the trinity in the ‘not be forgiven’ category. While the HQ, which openly rejects trinity, says something very similar in HQ 4:48 “Lo! God forgiveth not that a partner should be ascribed unto Him. He forgiveth (all) except that, to whom He will. Whoso ascribeth partners to God, he hath indeed invented a tremendous sin.” HQ 31:13 adds “Lo! to ascribe partners (unto Him) is a tremendous wrong” The tremendousness of the wrong would be like that of someone you had selflessly served throughout their life, but in the end he denies you your identity, refusing to recognize you, not because of loss of memory but out of sheer callousness, and ascribes your identity to someone who had done their utmost to malign you. Another way of looking at the 'you'll never be allowed into heaven' consequence of ascribing divinity to other than God (ascribing a partner to God) is appearing at the port of a country carrying a passport of your choice which is neither issued by that country (entitling you to permanent residence there) nor bearing any entry stamp from that country (entitling you to temporary residence) – would you blame the country for not letting you in? Remember you chose which passport to hold.
  • Because God gets his feelings hurt when people talk shit about Him.
