yes, and it does not taste good
-
Ack. My Mother once stuck the tip of a bottle of Joy dishwashing liquid into the side of my mouth and squeezed it. How can anything smell so good and taste so awful?! (My breath was lemony fresh, though. :P )
-
No way! And I've never done it to my children.
-
No I havent nor would I ever do it to anyone else.
-
No, but maybe when I was 5 or 6 I needed it. I remember rocking on a horse on the front porch and my sister did something to make me mad. She hollered for mom and said Janet called me a wh*r*. I ran in and said no mom,no I called her a hoooorse. I have since confessed to my momma.
-
No and i don't wanna try it now.
-
Oh... but yes !!! I actually became quite the soap connoisseur during my childhood.
-
Yes, it was not pretty. I was 8 yrs old and I said to mother, "Mom, I learned a new word today" and she said, what did you learn? I told her, "Bitch". Then, she put the soap in my mouth for using it at her. I deserved it. I knew that the word also applies to a female dog, but what I did not know at the time was it meant something else when used inappropriately.
-
No, I never used foul language when my parents were present. My brother had his mouth washed with soap, so I knew I didn't want that to happen to me.
-
Nope!
-
No, thank God....
-
I did once. She was a fat nasty babysitter and she really didn't like me because, well, I was a brat to her. Yea, it'll taste like soap in your mouth for DAYS.
-
No, we had eight kids in my family and couldn't afford to waste the soap. If we swore though, my father used to make us come up with another word we could have substituted for the swear word. I always thought that was quite a clever solution.
-
Nope but i did get warned... many times
-
Yes. My grandmother grabbed a bar of soap and scrubbed it across my teeth for saying the word "booger" when I was 8 years old.
-
oh hell no. If I did I got the belt!!
-
Yes and also for talking back.
-
Sure did by my parents. I 've had both the big bar, and the liquid soap. Learned my lesson. I love those traditional ways of discipline.
-
Ooooohhhh yeh, though not for swearing; back talking. That was pretty big in the 70's. I cannot even FATHOM doing such a thing to my children. BTW...my parents never did it to me...it was my babysitter...
-
Yes and jalapeno in my mouth too. I don't think I ever swore in front of my mom ever since.lol
-
Nope
-
No, but I got spanked really hard and locked outside in freezing (minus 30 Celsius) winter weather in my pyjamas when I was about 8 or so. Asian fathers can be ruthless and dominating----I learned the hard way, unfortunately. :(
-
Yes, many times and slapped across the face. I am still wondering why people call them the good old days.
-
Yes I did when i was young.:-)+
-
No we got slapped
-
Yes, for swearing, lying, talking back - any mouth offense. Pissed off the Great Nana (Grandmother) so much she made me bite it off and chew, chew, chew for what seemed like years and years - at least until it got all slimy and bubbly. Never did say a cross word to the Great Nana again.
-
Either swearing or smarting off. I was probably 3 or 4. ;-) (But remember it pretty clearly!)
-
yep. when i was at school. yuck! i dont remember if i cursed though. it was a long time ago.
-
No..I didn't start swearing till I was an adult..had no reason to! :) Happy Monday! :) ((hugs))
-
No i dont swear im a good girl
-
No, in fact it was never even suggested or threatened.
-
yes I would get a bar of lava soap shoved into my Mouth.. then after about 15 minutes.. it would be pulled out slowly.. making sure to scrape it on my Teeth !!
-
No never I was a good child! :)
-
My mom was more a fan of the spoonful of tabasco sauce.. I didn't swear often after that.
-
No, I think it may be outdated now.
-
Nope. I was very, very quiet.
-
Yes, as a 7 year old in the mid-seventies. Let me say this: DIAL SOAP TASTED BETTER THAN IVORY SOAP!
-
never.
-
sure did, it was gross
-
Yes and for any one wondering Ivory is not tasty, neither is Dial for that matter!
-
Nope, one look from my father was enough to quell any bad behavior. But then I never did swear, in their presence or anywhere else. That just wasn't a problem. But I would occasionally talk back.
-
No I never did, my Mother did not need to threaten we just knew it was not something to do.
-
nah
-
Yes with bar and once even with liquid (hope for the bar cause the liquid REALLY sucks!)
-
No, mom threatened to do it, but never did. I tried the soap just to see how it would taste. It wasn't horrible, but it was great either.
-
Yes. By the elementry school principle with my parents permission. It was a brand new bar of Lava soap I took a big ole bite out of it and chewed it up and swallowed trying to be a smartass. It came back up violently not long after. Lesson learned
-
Once, by my old girlfriend. We were sitting in my car,in front of her apt.we got into an arguement. After I called her a few choice words, she went into her purse and took out a small bar of soap. She unwrapped it,pinned my arms, told me to open up.I tried to resist but I couldn't,she pushed it in my mouth and made me eat the whole thing.I got sick driving home. Now I don't say those words.
-
no my mum used to make me stick my tongue out and put mustard on the tip =o(
-
yes. to this day the smell of dial bar soap makes me gag.
-
Yes, a few times. THe ivory soap was tolerable, the Irish Spring was brutal.
-
o yes i did by my babysitter all the time....my mom gave her permission, but she never did it herself
-
yes once, my parrents ground it into my molars. it was generic. I am not sure if it was for swearing or talking back... never had a swearing problem but might of happened once... however pointing out truth was apparently talking back.
-
Yea, but it didn't work.
-
Oh hell No! But i got a good cut ass though. lol
-
yes, it was liquid dial
-
Yep and for being disrespectful to my elders as well.
-
No, but my older brother did.
-
No, but I've been threatened with it.
-
No. just the belt
-
Oh my gosh......YES! I actually did. I said a cuss word when I was about 7 just to see what happens and my mom came running out and told me to go wash my mouth out with soap, so I did.
-
yes - at camp when I was 11...
-
yep! twice before i was ten for cussing.i remember when i was in my twenties my mom thanked me for respecting her by not cussing around her. i told her i always remembered what would happen if i did!!
-
Yes once. Then my mom decided she didn't care what I said as long as I wasn't calling her something.
-
twice aparently but i only remember one of those times. i needed the toilet but my brother was in their so i started shouting at him o get out and used basicly every word i hd heard my dad use. dunno how old i was.
-
Nope
-
Yes, once or twice. My mother would stick a bar of soap in and pull it right back out again. That was long enough for the message to get across. I never used that with my sons or grandsons. I just said "Hubby and I do not talk like that and neither will you".
-
I never did only because i was too afraid to even try swearing in front of my mother. I'm not sure she would've done that anyway? It was never threatened. She would've been more likely to either slap me in the face or spank me if it were bad enough!
-
no I have not but when my mother heard my younger brother say a curse word she brought him up stairs and washed his mouth out with a bar of soap. he was about 7/8 and he was crying the whole time saying the saop tasted nasty. I learned just by watching him not to curse around my parents.
-
YES!!, i swore infront of my (adopted) Dad (who i adored normally) and he took me to the bathroom and gave my mouth a good old wash with soap-just the traditional discipline then he warned me if i ever did it again i would also get chilli sauce. A while after i did!! and was so scared. He gave my mouth such a wash with soap and made me sit with the bar in my mouth (i wanted to sit on his lap) but he said no!. My mouth was so full and i was gagging but he said "give it a good suck", i did but was crying. Then he rinsed my mouth out and i got a mouthfull of chilli sauce-which i had to swallow!!..you bet i NEVER swore again and it worked a treat!!.

Once when I was like six for saying the word ass, it was kind of my own fault because my mom threatened to do it and I didn't believe her so I tried to test her cause I didn't think she would do it, but she did. It was horrible and I remember blowing bubbles out of my mouth. My dad was really mad it happened so that was satisfying. Since then I have always tried to stay away from bars of soap.
