The Bible is just a book (or a collection of various texts in book form to be precise). I'm neither for it or against it, I typically don't form opinions of that sort towards objects. I feel the Bible is of some historical value and also contains some 'interesting' stories. I do not personally believe that the Bible is the literal word of God nor even that it's scribes were divinely inspired. As for it being a moral text, I think it is somewhat outdated although a few of it's messages can be applicable today. As for the followers of the Bible (Christians), they vary immensely. Many are kind, generous, friendly individuals whilst some are aggressive and bigoted. This is true of most religions and belief sets.

The Bible does bring alot of people hope in bad times, so I wouldn't say I'm against it, even if I think it's content is a load of rubbish :p

I am neither for or against.Each person is entitled to believe what they believe and as long as I am left alone to my beliefs or non beliefs,then everything is fine.

I prefer a more scientific approach to the bible. Such as Ernest Holmes and Neville Goddard's works. (Definetly NOT the christian philosophy.)

As a book of literature, it provides some profound insights into life. As a religious book, it provides ingight into God and creation. Either way, a great book!

It would be better if all the manuscripts were regathered; translated correctly and then it would be subjective, interesting reading. The version we have today is one church's idea of what should have been included, what should have been burned and how it should have been translated. Something can be learned from it as with a lot of literature. A lot of folks take every piece of it too literally not knowing this or realizing that a big portion is metaphorical. But that is their right, as are the beliefs I just stated, are my right to believe.
