no, humor is good for the soul. Except if you are a Calvinist.
-
No it isn't but some people don't believe that!!
-
Sad isn't it!
-
I like preachers who have humor in their sermons , so with that no it is not wrong to laugh in church + up
-
How could it be wrong? Are we to rejoice in the Lord?

There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot the plant. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. -- Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 It depends on the circumstances. Sometimes it is wrong to laugh in church. Sometimes it is wrong not to laugh in church. The hard part is knowing when to do each one. With love in Christ.

Only if someone near you breaks wind while sleeping...

I laughed twice this past Sunday. The man giving the sermon said, that Bible truth is so easy it's like "I could have had a V8".. that tickled my funny bone. Later someone meant to say that "The older men in the congregation are a refuge"... it came out "are a refuse"

Depends on what you are laughing at! If someone trips in the aisles when walking up to the front of the church to get saved, then yeah, it's wrong. If the pastor tells a funny story, then it's Ok to laugh. If you are sitting there in church, not paying attention, just cracking jokes with your neighbor or drawing silly pictures on a note pad, then yeah, it's wrong. There's a time and place for everything, as the saying goes. lol

My pastor and his associate pastor tell intentional jokes in their sermons, and we all get a good laugh from time to time. And one time the associate pastor was paid a dollar to walk around wearing a woman's purse! Some days, including Sundays, I could use a good laugh. It's healthy and okay to laugh, just not when you're poking fun of a person. God wouldn't like that, would he? I just wouldn't sit around in church telling totally irrelevent jokes to a friend and disturb the worshippers around me.

Only at inappropriate moments.
-
Not at all; my pastor is hysterical!!! I can't help it.
-
Only if at the wrong times, like when the pastor reads "Jesus wept".
-
when u are laughing in church non stop its the spirit of Joy that is allover u
-
no it is not wrong. God understands your sense of humor.
-
Depends. I don't think you should be laughing at a funeral, however, weddings are ok and also if the vicar makes a joke.
-
There is a time and place for everything!!!We laugh but not when the pastor is speaking. We do laugh and dance and really celebrate.
-
Re: Solomon. There is a time and a place for everything. Use good judgment.
-
depends what your lol at
-
In the big book of rules it mentions making a joyful noise unto the lord..what can be more joyful than laughter? :)
-
Not if you want to let the preacher/minister/rabbi/whatever know that you appreciate the humor he may have added to the sermon to keep people awake! LOL
-
Depends on the context, would you laugh at it anywhere else? Then why in Gods house.(or why not in Gods house?) Laughter is good for the soul.
-
Not at all.We are to be exibiting the joy of The Lord.In fact laughter is one of the strongest weapons against the enemy.
