Why do some people assume you can read their minds, then get mad when you don't know what they're insinuating?

I don't know why people do that. We all might have a slight tendency to do it with minor expectations of others, etc, but I beleive you may be speaking of more dramatic circumstances. Some of these people also sometimes can stay silent for long periods of time, all the while waiting for you to read their mind, and they seemingly fume while the other person fails to read their mind and then , finally, the fumer explodes in rage -- while the other person had no idea what was going on. Which, in turn makes the fumer that much more resentful and angry. And potentially dangerous. For the receiver of such venom, there is nothing one can do in that situation - - other than calmly try to state one's position and wish the other person the best. And sometimes, then let that other person go. And avoid people like that in the future -- as Patti jo suggests. [ A four years late answer ] +5

i don't think anybody can read minds!! they just want to drag attention to theirselves!!
