  • Yes, and in some cases very vivid dreams. And lately, don't know why, very VERY vivid dreams ;p
  • Yes, everyone who enters REM level of sleep dreams. I rarely remember any, which is fine - the ones I do remember are not good.
  • For an average night of sleep (about eight hours) we should have about five dreams. "Dreamless nights" are simply nights that we don't remember the dreams to. It has been theorised that we even dream all day, but we don't know it because dreams are in the subconscious mind and we are, during the day, usually in a conscious state (this is just theory, as far as I know though). Enchanted mentioned that we dream as long as we enter REM sleep, but it's possible to dream in NREM sleep too. Usually they're just flashes of images and such. However, if you get less sleep, like insomniacs, you're more liable to start dreaming in NREM sleep like you would in REM sleep, because, apparently, dreams are very important. I've done a research paper on dreams here if you're interested: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/518787/who_needs_sleep.html
  • Yes. Sometimes I remember them fleetingly when I wake up but forget them quickly. Other times, they remain with me for some time.
