my kid had the same problem with his. we first thought it was a faulty DC cable. so we changed the cable, but it was still the same:O then after more carfully examination I found a loose wire right underneat the connection to the dc cable, I had to solder it tight again and since then it have been working OK. but it can also be that it is getting overheated and then it shuts it self off by the inbuilt overheating protection to prevent a meltdown of the electronics. inside it have a small fan that sucks cool air into the box, with that also follow alot of dust, if you have it in a dusty place then it can be absolutely stuffed with dust after some time, then it wouldnt get the prooper cooling since the fan is not able to suck cool air into the box, resulting overheating. it can also be that your fan is broken and not work at all? you need to scruw it apart and have a look, you can also try start it with the cap of to see if the fan is working. but be careful so you dont get eletrified, you should under no cercumstances play around inside the box then the DC cable is connected, dont touch anything! not even with a tool! VERY DANGEROUS! even you had it unconected for just some hours, it still might be some voltage left enough to kill you, I recommend have it unconnected for atleast a week before tampering with it. Im NOT KIDDING! please take my advise if you don't want your parents to go to your funeral! LOL if you still have the varranty valid you should bring it to your dealer and let them repair it. but I hope this helps. Good luck!
