Do you think Michael Vick should spend more than a year in prison for his association with dog fighting?

I don't know the facts, but if what I heard is true, then he shouldn't be around humans or animals again. Cruelty to animals, taking pleasure - or being completely insensitive to suffering is a big red light as far as treatment of others is concerned. Farmers routinely kill animals, but they take no pleasure in the task and attempt to do it as humanely as possible. They don't do it with their bare hands or torture the animals.

I think he should serve at least half of the recommended sentence for his crime, whatever that may be. But, I think what may actually get thru to him is either hitting him HARD in the pocketbook, or finishing out his sentence at the local humane society, (or both). A real good punishment for him would have been something like those people who cleaned up the wildlife from the "Exxon Valdez" oil spill. I remember seeing those truly caring people trying everything in their power, (some while bawling their eyes out), to wash that oil and sludge off of ducks, geese, and other effected wildlife. He may be already too far gone, (as far as caring about animals), but I'd sure try it to find out.

He definitely should spend more than one year in prison for his association with dog fighting. Anyone who thinks it's fun or even okay to be cruel to an animal deserves very harsh punishment. Being cruel to animals does not say much for him as a human being. He should be locked up for good! ANYONE who is cruel to an animal should be locked up for good!

I've posted this on AB for a few different questions, he should serve at least 5 years. But with this plea bargain nonsense, he will most likley get only one year and a few million dollar fine.

I don't know everything and am not a judge, so I won't judge him. I just think the punishment should fit the crime. Sometimes I wish we had mirror crime/punishments. Would put an end to a lot of crime.

i say put him in a dog cage cut off his thumbs and make him paralyzed from the waist down and make him crawl like a dog and let him fight some people in prison that 5|-|!t hole
